Ca sĩ Lý Hải cho thấy từ sau những lần đi làm từ thiện ở các ngôi chùa, anh cứ nhớ mãi cảnh sắc tĩnh tại, lặng bình chỗ đấy và cũng từ đó ý tưởng phát minh về một tập phim lấy bối cảnh là 1 trong những ngôi miếu đã bắt đầu nhen nhói trong anh. Bởi vậy sau khi album Trọn đời mặt em 10 hoàn tất, anh đã hợp tác vào triển khai ước mơ của bản thân mình với phương châm đạo diễn với người bạn thân Nhật Cường.

Bí mật lại bị mất nhắc về một bảo vật của một ngôi chùa khiến cho nhiều bạn thèm khát. Trong những số ấy ông Kiệt (NSƯT Việt Anh), người đứng đầu một băng nhóm xã hội đen khét tiếng đã các lần kiếm tìm cách đánh cắp nhưng bất thành. Trong những lúc đó, gà ác (Nhật Cường) vô tình có dịp vào ở nhờ trong miếu và ăn cắp được báu vật. Vì bắt buộc tiền, anh sẽ đem đi hội đàm với ông Kiệt nhưng không may rơi vào cơn thập tử nhất sinh. Sau khi được trụ trì cứu giúp sống, kê ác quá ăn năn nên quyết tâm tìm lại báu vật đưa về cho miếu để chuộc lỗi. Tuy vậy hành với Sóc (Lý Hải) - một chàng trai nghiện rượu, quyết trọng tâm tìm vào cửa ngõ Phật để loại bỏ tật xấu, vượt qua biết bao trường hợp dở khóc dở cười, bị hành hạ vị tên đệ tử lạ đời Bóp (Trấn Thành) của ông Kiệt, bọn họ tìm lại được báu vật với sự trợ góp của gia sư Mỹ Anh (Nhật Kim Anh), cũng chính là con gái ông Kiệt…
