One of the main reasons why Dragon Ball GT was labeled as non-canon after Dragon Ball Super was the dramatic difference in power. The solution was going in a completely different direction with a redesign that brought back their true Saiyan form with ape-like features. It was an instant success & the most powerful transformation by far, until Dragon Ball Super happened. Akira Toriyama decided lớn continue the story precisely in the 10-year gap before GT and in no time it already had Gods of Destruction & Super Saiyan God, both way more powerful than Super Saiyan 4, making it rather unnecessary for Goku & Vegeta, who are playing in a better league.
As usual, the villains & challenges must be in the Super Saiyan God, blue or Ultra Instinct cấp độ from now on, so it wouldn't make sense for them to start developing and inferior transformation. In Dragon Ball GT episode 35 (written by Atsushi Maekawa, directed by Osamu Kasai, produced by Toei Animation), Goku is in the middle of his fight against GT’s most powerful Machine Mutant villain, Baby. Obviously, Super Saiyan 4 Goku isn’t invincible & has lớn put up a fight against god-tier beings, but every past situation where letting his guard down almost got him killed wouldn’t have been a problem if he were a Super Saiyan 4. The surprise attack from Vegeta wouldn’t have had any effect, và the sneaky sniper-blast from one of Frieza’s henchmen wouldn’t have phased him.
